A disgruntled former student, who has been gunning for Pat Robertson and his Regent University School of Law in Texas court since 2007, has switched tactics. After filing suit, Adam Key (who is suing the school for violating his Constitutional right to free speech and freedom of religion), filed a complaint letter last Friday with the ABA. Key maintains that Robertson and Regent, who kicked Key out for posting an unflattering video of Robertson on his Facebook page and posting anti-Robertson comments on a school forum, are in violation of "ABA Standard 211(c), which prevents it from discriminating against its students on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age or disability. That standard 'is administered as though the First Amendment of the United States Constitution governs its application.'"
Key is very clearly passionate about fairness, as one might notice from his slightly hilarious "Due Process" tattoo:
And Robertson is very clearly a sensitive man. Check out the offending video Key posted on his Facebook. This got him kicked out, kids:
The moral of this story may just be: nobody needs a law tattoo, and Pat Robertson has very soft feelings. We'll see if the ABA agrees that he needs to be reined in.
