Above the Law has posted some news about grade reform at USC. The new policy is as follows:
The change seems to have been instigated by what USC perceives as a mismatch between the school's reputation and the quality of the students.
* Our first-year grades and first-year GPAs appear to be lower than those at our peer schools which likely harms some of our students' job prospects."
The new curve is identical to UCLA's recently-reformed curve, and UCLA is seen by USC as a peer institution, so tit for tat and all that.
